Saddle Return Policy
The ideal way to purchase a saddle is to try out the right saddle on the horse and have the panels adjusted and balanced for the horse it is to be used on. We often have a suitable saddle available when we do a saddle fitting consultation and can do this work on site. The sale of a saddle that has been custom-fit for the horse on site is final.
Special orders of saddles we do not routinely stock are considered final sales. We require a deposit on such orders, and the balance is due before shipment or on delivery.
Saddle Trial Policy
Our ideal would be to fit every saddle to every horse in person, though this is not always feasible, so Advanced Saddle Fit will work with customers by phone and e-mail to determine whether a particular saddle might be a good fit for horse and rider. Digital photographs, video, and wither tracings are critical in this process.
Once you decide on a saddle for trial, Advanced Saddle Fit will charge your card (MasterCard/Visa/American Express/Discover) for the purchase price of the saddle, plus $30 for shipping and handling.
Saddles are available for trial for five days (the day the saddle is received is day one). If you would like to purchase the saddle, please contact Advanced Saddle Fit, and we will then charge your card for the purchase price of the saddle.
If you choose not to purchase the trial saddle, please inform Advanced Saddle Fit as soon as possible during the five-day trial. The saddle must be returned to Advanced Saddle Fit by the end of the five-day trial, or sooner if possible.
If we do not hear from you within five calendar days of receipt, we will consider the saddle sold. At the close of business on the fifth calendar day, we will charge your card, and the sale is final.
Saddles must be returned in the same condition in which they were received. If their condition has changed, we reserve the right to apply a minimum restocking fee of 20% of the purchase price of the saddle. You are responsible for damage or theft of the saddle on trial. Return shipping and insurance are the customer's responsibility.
To return a saddle to Advanced Saddle Fit, please use a box that is approximately 16w x 16d x 26h. Use crumpled newsprint or kraft paper to cushion the saddle within the box. Be sure to provide a good layer at the bottom and top. Bubble wrap is fine, though we prefer the newsprint. Do not use Styrofoam products.
We prefer that you ship via UPS or FedEx using the same level of service used to ship the saddle, and provide the tracking number to Advanced Saddle Fit.
New saddles are sold with the manufacturer's warranty. Used saddles are sold as is, with no warranty expressed or implied.
Return Policy - All Other Products
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase:
- Contact Advanced Saddle Fit within 7 days of receipt of a product to discuss your concerns and, if you wish to return an item, for a return authorization.
- Bridles should be checked for size first without buckling.
- Items must be in new condition. Strap goods must be returned unbuckled. Advanced Saddle Fit reserves the right to apply a minimum restocking fee of 25% of the purchase price of an item if it is not received in new and unused condition.
- Return the unused product within 7 days of receipt (as indicated by UPS tracking information) for exchange or refund of the purchase price. Items returned without a return authorization will receive a store credit rather than a refund.
- Shipping charges will not be refunded.
If an item breaks or becomes damaged during normal use because of a manufacturing defect:
- Contact Advanced Saddle Fit to discuss the damage so that an initial assessment may be made of the damage. Advanced Saddle Fit will repair or replace the returned product in accordance with the manufacturer's warranty.
- Upon approval from Advanced Saddle Fit, ship the item back to us, preferably via UPS or FedEx. We cannot assume responsibility for misdirected, damaged, or lost shipments.
If an item is received in damaged condition:
- In most instances we ship via UPS. Please contact the carrier immediately if your shipment arrives damaged.
Special Orders
Special orders are considered final sales. Special orders include, but are not necessarily restricted to, custom-assembled or sized bridles, items with custom features, embroidered items, etc. We require a deposit on special orders. The balance is due upon shipment or delivery.
